1 Kgs 21:1-3
King Ahab saw someone else’s vineyard and wanted it. This vineyard belonged to Naboth and his vineyard was close to the kings’ palace. The king was ready to give Naboth another and according to him a better vineyard or give him the equivalent in cash.
But Naboth replied, “The Lord forbid that I should give you the inheritance of my ancestors.” vs 3.
When was the last time that you said no to the enemy? When was the last time that you took a stand against the enemy? When was the last time that you stood your ground against the enemy? When?
The temptation from the enemy will come in different shapes and sizes. For some, it will be money, for some it would be fame, for some it will be greed, for some it would selling your heirloom or your inheritance, for some promotion, for some power etc…
What evil has the enemy been whispering to your ears? What is he telling you to compromise on? What is he telling you to sell? What is he telling you to do? What is he telling you to say? What is he telling you to overlook? If it is coming from the enemy, you will not be at peace about it and it will not be the right thing to do.
Whatever it is, tell him no and say ‘get thee behind me satan.’ He is a liar who comes to steal, kill and destroy. Don’t allow him to win another battle in your life again. You have come too far with God. Let the King of Glory win instead. Stand firm to what is right and truthful. Be like Naboth, remember that you are Blood bought. Remember who paid the price for you? His name is Jesus. The one whom there was no sin or guile in him.
1 Pet 2:20 But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. 22 “He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.”
Satan is telling you it is not right to suffer for righteousness but God is saying it is. Suffer now, so that you can reign with him in eternity. And yet, Ps 30:5 weeping endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning. Your joy is coming soon, it is being packaged, just for you. Don’t give up or compromise now, don’t sell your inheritance to the highest bidder.
The Word says in Rms 6: 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
PRAYER POINTS: Lord, don’t let me sell my Blood bought inheritance. Lord, help me to say no to any form of temptation or compromise in Jesus name. Lord, help my unbelief and strengthened my faith in Jesus name.
GOD IS NEVER LATE BUT ALWAYS ON TIME, DON’T SELL YOUR INHERITANCE TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER.
