HOW TO LIVE A STRONG CHRISTIAN LIFE:

As Christians, we have to sow the thoughts of God’s Words in our minds. We need to meditate on the Word and also confess the Word day and night. According to Psalm 1, without meditating on the Word of God day and night, then the blessings cannot come to us. Verse 1: Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by he rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.

We have to avoid anything that leads to sin. We should not read the Bible in a rush or read without meditating on what we read. But we should go through it in our minds, or asking the Holy Spirit to explain it to us, if we didn’t understand what we read. It is vital to go through what you read over and over again. And that is how you get enlightened little by little spiritually and your mind gets renewed. The Word of God changes us all. Romans 12: 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. The Spirit of God transforms our lives by renewing our minds. A renewal of the mind cannot take place without spending time in the Word of God and in His presence.

Hebrews 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. It is very easy for sin to come upon us if we are not spiritually aware. We need to watch our thoughts, acts, habits, characters as all these will affect our destinies.

God’s Words is very clear that when we first came to Him, our minds were blinded to the things of God, defiled, unGodly and hostile towards God. Titus1:15 To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. Our spiritual health is important to God. 2 Corin 4:But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. As children of God the work of our Lord Jesus Christ doesn’t have to be veiled to us any longer. Revelation comes by proximity and by spending time with God. Colossians 1:21 21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled. Setting time aside privately to read the Word and being in God’s presence is key to a strong Christian life. As we do this the Holy Spirit will begin to cleanse us and plant Godly habits in us.

In Isiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Our salvation does not call for blind faith; salvations is reasoned faith. God works with our intellect, by appealing to our minds.

As children of God, we have to grow spiritually, in order to be useful to God. As we read the Bible, our minds become renewed, our spirit becomes alive, the cleansing process takes place as God works with us. All these start becoming a daily part of our lives and growth then begins to take place in us. Doing all these means that we have to be spiritually purposeful. 1 Peter 1: 13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance. When we put our faith on our Lord Jesus Christ, we receive hope from Him and this strengthens our faith.

The world puts a lot of impure thoughts in our minds; and then we have fear in our minds that brings about anxieties. The more we grow closer to God, these impure thoughts begin to lose their holds over us as well as spirits of anxiety. There are a lot of distraction in the world that we live in, that if we do not make a conscious effort to be with God, we could be led astray as Christians. The world is a troubled place and we need to help ourselves, to live a strong life in Christ during these times. There is power in the Word of God but it takes time for it to become a reality in our lives. We help ourselves by reading our Bible daily and receiving the Word He has for us and not allowing the world to fill us. We need a daily cleansing, a daily renewal, a daily receiving from God and He in turn removes all impurities of the past.

Colossians 3`:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. No matter how much we slip, in Christ, we have died to the old life and we are raised to a new life in Him. Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. If our focus is on heavenly things, then it will be difficult of the enemy to derail us.
