John 3: ⁶ For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ¹⁷ For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.   Only those who are His children through faith in Christ can claim their inheritance.

Jesus, the Son of God, came down from heaven; He is the Father’s love gift to humanity; He is the light in a dark world; He was lifted up and died on the cross for the sins of the world and all who look to Him by faith will receive eternal life.  God created all things by Him (Jhn 1:1-3) but also the redemption of creation is also by Jesus.  Our Messiah is the true light; Jhn 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

We Gentiles were to be blessed by the Messiah (Rms 10: 11-13); His birth brought four redemptive acts to us, namely: death, ascension, resurrection and intercession.

Jesus is, was and always will be the only begotten Son of God because man cannot be begotten or born in the same sense as Jesus was; that of any human is that of adoption.   And we as adopted heirs, share the same rights and privilege as one born into the family of faith.  We will all be glorified with Christ because Jesus is God’s answer to satan to guarantee his defeat and restore man’s original dominion.

Sonship with Christ always refers to humanity and not deity; as God He has no beginning, but came to be born of a virgin, in order that you and I might receive eternal life and all other blessings that flow through him.  Let us remember to celebrate Him for coming into this world to save us.

The fact that God gave us His Son is a BIG DEAL because with Christ in our lives, there are also blessings that we can tap into in Him:

Redemption – 1 Corn 1:30 ³⁰ It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

Freedom from condemnation – Rms 5:18  Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. 

Spirit of live – Rms 8:2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. 

Love of God – 1 Tim 1:14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

Truth – James 1:18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits of all he created.

Unity – Gal 3:28  There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Faith –  Rms 1:17  For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.

Sanctification – 1 Corin 1:2 To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours:

Wisdom – 1 Corin 4:10 We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, we are dishonored! 

Righteousness – 1 Jn 2:29  If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him. 

Hope – Heb 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 

Resurrection – 1 Pet 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead

Joy – Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness

Establishment in God – 2 Corin 1:21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us

Triumph – 2 Corin 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.

Law abolished – Rms 8:2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. 

New creation – Gal 6:15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation.

Liberty – 2 Corin 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

All spiritual blessings – Eph 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

Power – 1 Thes 1:5  because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. 

Heavenly places – Eph 2:6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus

High calling – Phil 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Eternal life – Jude 1:21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

Grace – Titus 2:11  For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.

Salvation – 2 Tim 2:10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.

Preservation – Jude 1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James,To those who have been called, who are loved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ

Justification – Rms 5: 18  Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people.

Be blessed as you celebrate Christ during this glorious season because He IS the reason for the season.
