Ex 12: ¹² “On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord. ¹³ The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.

Love will cost you, Jesus sacrificed His life for us.  What sacrifices have you made for Him, as we celebrate Resurrection? People say that a relationship is a choice but while we were yet sinners, Jesus died for us; God’s love for us cost the death of Jesus.  That is something that we always need to remember.  

THE BLOOD OF JESUS IS SIGNIFICANT:

If Jesus did not die and shed His Blood for us, there would be no redemption of sins for us, thank God for His resurrection.  In 1 Peter 1:18-19, “For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. He paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God.” The Blood of Jesus Christ is the most important and significant thing that God did for us all.

The Blood of Jesus continues to avail much for us today because His Word does not fail.  The Word of God says ‘…and when I see the blood, I will pass over you.’  Whatever hard time you might be going through right now, start pleading the Blood of Jesus over that situation.  The song says ‘the Blood will never loose its power’ and that is so true.

I would like to encourage you today that no matter what you are going through, be it health issues, financial issues, unemployment issues, relationship issues or emotional issues, know that you CAN plead the Blood of Jesus over the situation.  If you want to start over, again the Blood is there to cleanse you from all unrighteousness.  

WHAT DOES THE BLOOD OF JESUS DO FOR US?

The crucifixion of Jesus provided both restoration and redemption for the world.  

The Blood reconciles us to God, Col 1:21-22; the Blood of Jesus gives life John 6:54; the Blood cleanses us Heb 9:14; the Blood procures heaven for us, Heb 10:19; the Blood repels evil, Ex 12:13; the Blood sanctifies us, Heb 9:13-14 and finally, the Blood speaks Heb 12:24.
