What do you do my dear sister in the Lord, when the odds are stacked against you?  Do you give up? Throw a tantrum?  Loose hope? Say negative things?  Go shopping therapy?  Bury yourself in the Word?  Pray?  Worship or even cry?

As a Woman of God, what do you do when the odds seemed to be stacked against you? What do you do in order not to fall into further despair.

Recently something happened to me and I was in so much shock, that I became numb.  I did not know what to do or say.  So guess what?  I switched my TV on and watched one Christian message on TV after another till it was time to sleep, I could have watched the same programmes on YouTube, on my tablet or my smartphone.  I am saying this to you, to remind you of all the various avenues at your disposal to watch a Christian programme.

When it was time to sleep, I then listened to Christian songs, I was too numb to speak, too numb too say ‘haba Father’ or ‘Our Father in heaven’ or The Lord is my Shepherd’; too numb to utter a word.  In my singing those worship songs, I worshipped the Father because as far as I was concerned, only He could get me out of the problem that I was facing.  I could not sleep so, worshipped in my mind as I rolled back and forth in my bed all night long, it was a loooonnnngggg night!

In the morning, the Holy Spirit started ministering to me, as regards what to do and I followed His instructions and was saved.  I end with this: when the odds are stacked against you, hold on to Him and don’t give up.  Ps 46:10 – Be still and know that I am God

Ps 83:1 – Do not keep silent, O God!  Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still O God.

Prayer point: Father God, help me to stand and seek your face when the odds are stacked against me in Jesus name, amen.
