Today, God led it in my heart to talk to you about listening to Him more than anyone else.

The enemies of the children of Israel, the Philistines to be precise, came up against them once again in the valley of Rephaim – 2 Sam 5:22-25.

Prior to this incident, the Philistines had been coming up against the children of Israel and David would enquire of the Lord and God would tell him to go and attack them.  This had happened a few times, until they came up against them again and David enquired of God again… vs 18 The Philistines also came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.  ¹⁹ And David enquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up to the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the Lord said unto David, Go up: for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into thine hand.

David never thought to not ask God when he had to go into battle, even with the same enemy; he never took God for granted that way.  David made sure he put God first and sought His face.

My question to you is who is that Philistine battling with your future and destiny?  He keeps coming back again because he wants to find out if you will fall for his lies and deceit one more time.  He seems to forget that greater is He who is in you.   

However, God is saying to you ‘Thou shall not go up‘.  Seek God’s face about how to deal with this persistent enemy that keeps coming back.  God wants to give you another strategy like he did David.

Seek Him, He will answer and deliver you.
