Its coming to the end of November and as I look back on this year, I can say to you that prayer has kept me going. Prayer in church or in and out of my home. Prayer has been the key. Prayer wherever I am, communing with God all the time.
I’m sure you remember the story about Daniel, how he kept kneeling to pray to His God, as he has always done, even though there was a decree in the land that if anyone prayed to ‘any god’, the person would be cast into the den of lions. Well, that decree did not stop Daniel.
The background to this was that the other governors and satraps were jealous of Daniel because he had an excellent spirit within him and the king liked him. So, they plotted against Daniel and went to the king and told him to sign the above decree and he did, not knowing that these men wanted to set Daniel up.
But Daniel, true to form, did not stop praying to His God. As a result because of the decree that the king had made, Daniel was put inside the lions den. Needless to say, God delivered Daniel from the lions den and his accusers were were put inside the lions den, with their families; (Dan 6:1-24).
God is still in the business of of delivering his children, us from ‘the accuser of the brethren’. Don’t give up, keep praying, He will come through for you as He did for Daniel. The key is not to give up. You have to keep praying till your miracle comes, be resilient and persistent in the place of prayer.
Prayer point: Lord arise and deliver me, as you delivered Daniel.
