Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

It is important to be to pray using the Word of God, I can assure you that the Word is truly powerful and better than feeling sorry for yourself or crying.

There is something about being able to quote a Scripture in the face a battle or when you are facing a challenging situation.  As this year is coming to an end, I want to encourage you to not give up the fight because you will have the victory since Jesus has already gone ahead of you and won on your behalf.

When something negative happens to you and you want to pray, start by saying ‘Lord I thank you because you have won the victory in this battle, (Isa 63:5, I John 2:14 & 1 John 5:4) though I cannot see it now. I declare that no weapon fashion against me shall prosper, (Isa 54:7) because it is written that I shall declare a thing and it shall be established, (Job 22:28) in Jesus name.  Therefore you the spirit of ‘sickness’, you will not prosper in my life because it is written by His stripes I am healed, (Isa 53:5) and it is for this reason that the Son of God was made manifest, to destroy the works of the enemy (1 John 3:8). I therefore condemn and destroy every attack of the enemy over my life, the life of my children, my husband or home or work situation in the name of Jesus.’

Prayer point: Lord I ask for a retentive memory in order to be able to quote your Scriptures in every areas of my life as and when I need to in Jesus name.
