GOD WILL NOT FORGET YOU

I want to talk about Sarah and how God did not forget her.   Here she was, she left everything to go with her husband because God had told Abraham to leave his kindred, Gen 12:1 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

Verse 5: And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.

But one day, God came to talk to Abraham, when he was ninety nine years old as He does and tells Abraham that Sarah will bear a son for him.  Gen 17: 16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.  17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

Would you not laugh like Abraham did if God said such a thing to you?  It was inconceivable in his mind and perhaps also unbelievable.  I can’t imagine God saying such a thing even when Sarah was seventy!

Any yet, we serve a God who delights in shocking his children and showing off on our behalf.  God loves to move in the miraculous and do that which the best doctors, best consultants etc… say is impossible to do or become.  Maybe for them, but not for our God.

Gen 18: 11  Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.  12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?  13 And the Lord said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?   14 Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Don’t loose hope and don’t give up.  2016 is not over yet and God will surely move on your behalf, at the very last minute as He did for Abraham and Sarah.  Whatever you are believing God for, He will do it, at His appointed time.  It is about not giving up as you are going through the hopeless situation.  It might be hard and tough but ask for His grace to see you through the difficult time.

Sarah was 90 years old when she bore Isaac and Abraham was a hundred years old.  Gen 21: And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me. And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

Just as God made Sarah laugh, God will make you laugh also and those who hear your good news will celebrate with you because you will sing your own song of victory and dance your victory dance sooner than you think.

PRAYER POINTS: Father Lord remember me for good as you did Sarah; O Lord regarding this … situation, remember me in the name of Jesus.  Father, nothing is too difficult for you, make what seems impossible become possible in my life in Jesus name.
