COME OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE

When I am writing about this topic, I am reminded of our Lord Jesus who had to go through the journey of the Cross and I am sure He was not comfortable with what He went through.  So, if our Lord Jesus went to Hell and back for us, what excuse have we got, to be afraid.  Amongst all the things that He laid on the Cross, fear was one of them.  He broke the backbone of fear by facing death in the face and coming out victorious!  Halleluyah!

Heb 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.

Heb 10:23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

Whatever you have in mind to do this year, you have to do it afraid.  Once your faith in Jesus is secure, then take that bold step of faith and make it happen for yourself or your loved one.  Heb 11: And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Heb 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow wearyand lose heart.

No matter how frightened you might be about taking that bold step of faith, we are told in Heb 12: In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.  Yes, we are scared sometimes, because the enemy is telling us, what if you fail, people will laugh at you, you are not up to it, you cannot do it etc…But you need to have faith and say to yourself, ‘I have faith and I will fix my eyes on Jesus’.

Let’s have a look at his journey:

Jesus was arrested in the garden of Gethsemane at around 3 am and died on the Cross around 3 pm, after being laid on the Cross for about 3 hours.  On Sunday, He resurrected.

People like the woman with the issue of blood or blind Bartimeus, people must have told them to do nothing, afterall, they have had the condition for such a long time and could manage it; so why go out and seek Jesus.  The thing is, after Jesus endured the journey to crucifixion, he rose on the third day.  There is victory at the other side, don’t let the enemy or frenemy stop you from achieving your goals and destiny in life.

Eph 6:10 Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Don’t let fear hold you back, take that bold step of faith and face your giants today.

PRAYER POINTS: Lord take fear away from me in Jesus name.  Lord give me the spirit of boldness to confront my fear.  Lord I bring this matter/situation before you, may I be successful, as I move forward with it in Jesus name.
